John M. Costello

In 2003, the New York Province of the Society of Jesus suspended Father Costello from teaching and performing priestly duties following allegations of sexual abuse made against Costello. Costello served as principal at Canisius High School from 1989 to 1992. Costello was accused of sexual contact in 1979 or 1980 with a student while he was teaching at Regis High School in Manhattan. In 2004, Costello was allowed to return as a faculty member at McQuaid Jesuit High School.
