Gregory Yacyshyn

Father Yacyshyn was accused of sexually abusing an 8-year-old girl while she was a parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Greenlawn, according to a 2015 lawsuit. The lawsuit further alleges that the girl’s parents told law enforcement and the Diocese once they learned of the allegations, but Yacyshyn was allowed to “remain as a priest of the Diocese in good standing.” In 2016, a man came forward accusing Father Yacyshyn of sexually abusing him when he was between 5 and 7 years old while Yacyshyn was assigned to St. Francis of Assisi in Greenlawn.
