William Michael Burke

Father Burke was ordained in 1946 and reportedly retired in 1988, citing health problems. Father Burke was a Salesian priest who was accused in a lawsuit of molesting a 14-year-old boy in 1987. He is also accused of sexually abusing an elementary school student at St. Lawrence the Martyr in Sayville in the early 1970s. Burke died in a housefire in 2005, according to Newsday.
