Gennaro Simonetti

Gennaro Simonetti is accused of abusing a boy in the second or third grade during an after-school program at Our Lady of Miraclesl in the late 1970s. Simonetti allegedly would gather small groups of boys and have them remove their clothes during these afterschool programs and sexually abuse them under the pretense of a game. He retired in 1985 and died in 1998. In February 2019, he was included in the Brookyn Diocese’s list of credibly accused priests. The credibility of the allegations against him were determined by the Diocesan Review Board.
