Frederick Strianese
Ordained: 1963
Frederick Strianese worked for the Catholic Charities and directed the child-care services for the Diocese of Brooklyn. He also ran a day camp for children on Coney Island. In 1986, he was shot and killed in the course of a robbery. It was not until February 2019 that the Brooklyn Diocese added his name to its list of credibly accused clergy. The credibility of the allegations against him were determined by the Diocesan Review Board.
