Eugene Vollmer

Father Vollmer was removed from ministry in 2002 following allegations that he abused three boys, according to USA Today. Two former altar boys accused Vollmer of sexually abusing them in the late 1970s. Both former altar boys allege they reported the abuse. One of former altar boys has even asserted that he called the Diocese of Rockville Centre at the age of 15 to report the abuse but that he was told over the phone that he “shouldn’t say this about others.” The second time he tried to report the abuse was reportedly in 1991. Vollmer is allegedly identified as ‘Priest D’ in a Suffolk County Grand Jury report which states that “Priest D had admitted to high ranking Diocesan officials that he had sexually abused at least twelve boys.”
