Vincent Gallo
Ordained: 1960
Father Gallo was accused of sexual abuse in a 2003 lawsuit that named twenty-four priests as defendants. At the time the lawsuit was filed, Gallo had an assignment as pastor of St. Pancras in Glendale. The lawsuit alleged that Gallo sexually abused a young boy in the 1960s. According to the lawsuit, Gallo asked the boy to bring him sexually explicit pictures to confession and watched the boy masturbate. In 2004, the Diocese of Brooklyn found the claims “unsubstantiated and lacking in credibility.” However, Gallo was permanently removed from ministry in 2018 and was included on the Diocese’s Februray 2019 list of credibly accused priests.
