Sean Leo Rooney

Ordained: 1959

Father Rooney was ordained in 1959 and was a member of the Salesians of Don Bosco, a religious order. A 2013 lawsuit accused Rooney of sexually abusing a minor child at the Salesian Junior Seminary in approximately 1980.  The lawsuit further alleged that Rooney touched, fondled, and masturbated the boy while at the seminary in Goshen, New York.  Rooney was allegedly defrocked in 2008.
