Raymond A. Hyland

Father Hyland was accused of sexually abusing a minor girl starting when she was approximately 11 years old.  Hyland allegedly took the girl and her siblings out to plays, the circus, and other events following the death of one of her sisters.  The girl eventually grew up and joined the Ursuline Sisters religious order.  She has stated that she approached the Archdiocese of New York in the 1980s to tell officials she was a sexual abuse survivor.
