Randolph Nowak
Ordained: 1952
Father Nowak, a Capuchin friar, has worked in New York, Guam and Hawaii. In 2008, Nowak was accused of sexually abusing a seminarian at St. Mary’s Seminary in Glenclyffe, New York, from approximately 1961 until 1966. In 2010, the Provincial Minister of the Capuchin Franciscans acknowledged that Nowak’s priestly faculties were permanently revoked in 2004 “for reasons relating to allegations that arose elsewhere (not in Guam).”
Nowak is said to have served as chaplain in various hospitals in the New York area. He reportedly began ministering in Guam after moving there in 1979.
