Father Duvelsdorf was removed from ministry over allegations that he sexually abused two brothers in 1978, according to USA Today. Around the same time, the parents of the boys reportedly contacted their pastor and told him about what happened. The family maintains that Duvelsdorf was gone from the parish within two days. Duvelsdorf continued to minister, however, and reportedly moved to Florida in 1991 where he served in several parishes. He was reportedly arrested in 1997 for masturbating in public.
