Louis J. (Luis) Rios

A 2004 lawsuit accused Father Rios of forcing a minor girl to have sex with him while Rios was at Our Lady of Esperanza Roman Catholic Church in Washington Heights.  Rios is accused of sexually abusing a 16 year old girl between approximately 1973 and 1976.  The lawsuit further alleges that the plaintiff became pregnant with Rios’ child and reported the pregnancy to the pastor of Our Lady of Esperanza.  The plaintiff maintains that she was told she would receive help after the baby was born, but she did not.
