Joseph V. Agostino

Joseph Agostino was ordained in 1983 as a priest of the Congregation of the Mission (often known as Vincentians). In 2003, Agostino was accused of sexual abuse. It was reported that the investigation conducted by the Congregation of the Mission determined that there was not sufficient evidence to support the allegations, although the Bishop of Brooklyn met with the victim in 2003. That same individual presented additional evidence in 2009 that indicated he was a minor at the time of the abuse. Father Agostino was reportedly removed from ministry around this time.
