John Thompson

A former St. Elizabeth School principal sued the Diocese of Brooklyn and Father Thompson for alleged sexual harassment and sexual abuse. It was reported that a Church of the Holy Name secretary voiced her concern to the pastor of the church that Thompson moved a young man into the rectory with him but that his response “was kind of negative.” In addition, Father Thompson reportedly pleaded guilty to stealing over $95,000 in church funds. He was laicized in 2009.
