Catholic Priest

John M. Zeder

Ordained: 1954

Father Zeder was permanently removed from ministry in 2003 following a credible allegation of sexual abuse. Zeder was accused by a woman of sexual abuse when she was a teenager and said that she was abused between 1978 and 1981. The lawsuit further alleged that the woman told Father Keating about the incident in 1982. Zeder was reportedly the principal at the former Seton Catholic High School in Endicott from 1956 to 1967. He has also served multiple parishes, including St. Mary’s in Cortland and St. Malachy’s Church in Sherburne.
