James G. Sickler

Father Sickler is one of the twenty-four priests accused of sexual misconduct in a 2003 lawsuit. Specifically, he was accused of sexually abusing an altar boy at St. Pancras Church in Glendale during the late 1950s and early 1960s. According to the lawsuit, the boy was asked to join a “secret club” n the restroom of the parish school, which required a secret “handshake” of manipulating each other’s genitals.  He died in 1996.
