H. Charles Sewall
Ordained: 1960
In 2002, the Associated Press reported that Father Sewall had admitted to sexual misconduct with a teenager in the late 1970s while he was the principal of Notre Dame High School. It has been reported that Sewall has faced accusations by multiple individuals. The Diocese was allegedly contacted in 1988 about the sexual abuse of one of the alleged victims and a financial settlement was reached with the condition that Sewall would not be in a position where he would be working with minor children. Previous reports indicate that Sewall was allowed to continue his previous duties, including teaching at Notre Dame High School.
