In 2007, the Suffolk district attorney’s office said it was investigating allegations that Father Twomey abused a 10-year-old boy in the 1990s. Father Twomey was reportedly placed on administrative leave from his duties as pastor of Our Lady of Fatima in Manorhaven following the allegations.
