Edward L. Maurer

Father Maurer was named in two separate lawsuits in 2002 and 2003. He has been accused of sexually abusing children. A lawsuit in 2003 accused Maurer of sexually abusing one boy at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs in Forest Hills during the 1970s, and another boy at St. Thomas Aquinas in Park Slope during the 1980s. Maurer was also accused of abusing another boy who was also allegedly a victim of James Collins. He was removed from ministry in 2002 and died in 2016.
