Daniel Maher has been accused of sexual abuse by at least two individuals. For example, he was sued by a man in 2005, who accused Father Maher of sexually abusing him in 1973 while Maher served as priest at St. Francis De Sales Church in Colonie. Despite the accusations, he has been allowed to remain in active ministry.
