Chester Misercola

In 1998, Father Misercola resigned as pastor of St. John’s Catholic Church, citing health reasons. However, a 2002 news story stated that a former altar boy said he told a diocesan official that he had been sexually abused by Misercola when he was a minor. The former altar boy further accused Misercola of performing oral sex on him in the church rectory at St. John’s Church. The Diocese permanently removed Misercola from all active ministry in 2003 because of a “credible allegation.”
