Charles M. Mangini

Father Mangini served the Diocese of Brooklyn from approximately 1968 until his removal from ministry in 1993. As the Diocese of Brooklyn confirms, Mangini was dispensed from the clerical state (laicized) after a decree was issued by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, which is the Vatican office authorized to deal “with cases involving sexual abuse of minors by a cleric.” He was removed from ministry in 2003 and laicized in 2007.
