Anthony J. Failla

Father Failla was accused of sexually abusing a young boy over several years. The abuse is alleged to have occurred in the church rectory and to have happened on at least 30 occasions. Three nuns came forward in 1996 with reports that priests had sexually abused adolescent boys, with one of the priests allegedly confessing to molesting a child. It has been reported that Failla “admitted an indiscretion.” He was ordered to undergo psychological counseling. Failla reportedly left St. Finbar’s in the summer of 1997 and ultimately moved to Boca Raton, Florida.  He died in 2018.
