Michael D. O’Herlihy

Father O’Herlihy was accused of sexually abusing a minor in approximately 1980 while O’Herlihy was assigned to Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx.  The lawsuit accused O’Herlihy of sexually abusing the plaintiff in O’Herlihy’s room at Cardinal Hayes.  The lawsuit further alleged that it was “widely known at the school that O’Herlihy took high school students to his room and that he drank alcohol with them.”  O’Herlihy was reportedly defrocked in 1993 but was allegedly working at a public high school as an assistant principal in 2009.
